Laudato Si Movement ends this year with wonderful news, some of them you could read here, about our 2022 highlights and numbers that we are proud of and really thankful for. Moreover, we had just finished our very first pilot Laudato Si Animators course in Hungarian that we started in October.
The Laudato Si’ Movement, the Caritas in Veritate Commission of the Hungarian Catholic Bishops’ Conference and the Canticle of the Sun Association have established a partnership and since the beginning of 2022 were working together on the course in Hungarian.
“It was a wonderful journey with a lot of bumps and challenges, and also time constraints, but we made it and today, after the graduation event which took place on the 20th of December I could proudly share with our Hungarian organizers 35 new LSA certificates” – said Magdalena Noszczyk, Europe In-Country Programs Coordinator, responsible for implementation of the course in LSM’s new country – “We have already sowed some hope in people’s hearts and they are now a beautiful beginning of the movement building in Hungary now, I really hope that next year we can equip them in more skills and that they will be able to share with us even more talents that they have, as Pope Francis said in the “Laudato Si” encyclical “Everyone’s talents and involvement are needed to redress the damage caused by human abuse of God’s creation” (LS 14).”
Some final words from the course participants can show the enthusiasm and energy from the course:
“God bless your continued work! It was very affirming!”
“If you need any help in the future, you can count on me. I wish you strength and God’s grace!“
“Looking forward to continuing and working together!”
“I am very grateful to the whole team from the training! It has given me a lot.”
“Keep it up, because it is a very great gap to fill in people of faith way of thinking and in living in the true Faith”
This course and the whole implementation phase wouldn’t happen without our hard-working busy bees from a partner organization, Naphimnusz (Canticle of the Sun), and people behind every single webinar: Eszter Szabo – who is our main organizer of the LSA course in Hungary, Gabor Nemes and Zsolt Kükedi who were always there supporting Eszter and participants on their journey, Dr. Orsolya Pácz, János Arany and Ági Pestovics who were helping out the learners’ community during live webinars and on Thinkific and Boró Rácz – who was always prepared and ready and behind all the technicalities of online platforms, documents and data. This group and their teamwork is a great recipe for a successful LSA course.
If you want to join the Hungarian community of Animators, we warmly invite you for the next LSA course in 2023 (we will definitely let the world know about the dates soon) and you can always reach out to us with any questions with this email: [email protected].
Boldog karácsonyt és boldog új évet! (Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!)
