“”Fall in love, protect, transform”, is the motto of the 2023 program, which begins in the third week of April (April 17, 18 and 19, depending on the language) and will be offered free of charge in seven languages. Registration is open through the laudatosianimators.org website.
The Laudato Si’ Movement has once again opened registration for the Laudato Si’ Animators Program, whose theme this year is “Fall in love, protect, transform”, in addition to presenting the new website with its new look.
The two-month program will be available in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Hungarian and Polish. Those who become certified as animators will be able to become members of a community of animators present in more than 150 countries with whom to share experiences, motivations, prayer and local solutions.
In the midst of the spiritual, social and ecological crisis we are experiencing, the Laudato Si’ Animators Program extends an invitation to register and become certified as a Laudato Si’ Animator. This online program is designed to train and inspire local volunteers from all walks of life to bring Catholic teaching on climate change to their local communities through spirituality, science and leadership skills.
The program will begin in April: on the 17th, in Spanish and Polish; on the 18th, in Portuguese; and on the 19th, in English, Italian and French. Participants will learn the main concepts of Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’ and how it fits into the Catholic social teaching principles of human dignity, the common good and solidarity.
In addition, those who participate in the course will be able to understand the interconnectedness between the social, spiritual and ecological crises, the causes and consequences of climate change and how the injustice of this crisis affects the earth and the poor. Participants are encouraged to connect with their own call to bring Laudato Si’ to life in the light of faith.
Upon finalizing the program, with the completion and presentation of a project that promotes the Care of Creation, animators will receive an official certificate. From then on, they will be able to get involved on an ongoing basis in building a community: a chapter, a circle or any other type of community linked to the mission of the Laudato Si’ Movement.
The Laudato Si’ Animators program, active since 2016, has received more than 30,000 registrants from around the world, of whom more than 12,000 have been certified (completed the course and passed the final project) and are already working in their communities, associations or parishes to bring Laudato Si’ to life.
Registration is open through the laudatosianimators.org website.
